Old Vin magazines and two books looking for a good home! [10 Nov 2006|09:27am]

If this post breaks the rules, please let me know so I can delete it!

I have a few magazines and two bio books that I am parting with and I thought I'd offer them up to various groups/places before I list them on ebay.

Here is the loot:

Basically, I will accept any reasonable (for instance, $5 for the whole lot is NOT reasonable! LOL!) offer for the whole lot or separate items. Shipping costs depend on where you live and will have to be paid entirely by you. I can take PayPal or you can send payment by mail.

Comment here or drop me a line at mommybabou at gmail dot com if you're interested in anything.

Hey. I hope this is okay! I play Brittany Snow at an LJ Celebrity Roleplaying game called The Marquee [the_marquee]. And I and Paul Walker, MRod-shaped would honestly LOVE LOVE LOVE to see a Vin there. I even share a picture of him (above)... Even if you have never roleplayed in your life, TM is a great place to start, the mods are love and the players are beyond excellent.

Vin Diesel DID Show Up At The VMA's [01 Sep 2006|11:29am]

Although it was a little too crowded for Vin Diesel to get over and say "What's up" to Beyoncé, he paid his respects to the Jiggaman, who stayed close to B for most of the night, rocking to songs like Evelyn "Champagne" King's "Encore." Speaking of B, the Queen Bee was also in the place — not Lil' Kim, but a gorgeous woman dressed in a bee outfit (bee day, get it?) lying between two see-through hives with live bees. SOURCE

Find Me Guilty [01 Sep 2006|11:27am]

Film: Find Me Guilty is based on the true story of Giacomo "Jackie Dee" DiNorscio, who refused to rat on his Mafiosi pals and ended up successfully defending himself in court.

In this comedy, muscle man Vin Diesel plays Jackie Dee and swaps his trademark vests for Italian silk suits.

Diesel has also grown some hair and his Jackie Dee is a good-hearted gangster who could be construed as the family clown.

Despite the transformation, there is still the slow, deliberate delivery of lines from Diesel.

But in Find Me Guilty, Diesel gets to display his acting "range" and is actually quite funny in the lead role. The show literally belongs to him.

Jackie Dee was part of the notorious New Jersey family, the Luccheses
. The Feds move in after several years of investigation and arrest 20 mobsters.

But Jackie is already serving a 30-year sentence for various crimes and when the DA comes knocking, Jackie is placed in a precarious position.

He is offered a deal - authorities tell him that if he testifies against his colleagues, they will reduce his sentence. Jackie, though, has other plans and the courtroom becomes his stage to shine.

The trial, through no small measure on Jackie's part, becomes an embarrassment to the US justice system. Find Me Guilty is a surprisingly agile, gripping and very funny comedy.

Extras: Trailers of forthcoming DVD features.

Is that all for Vin Diesel? No more movies? [31 Aug 2006|12:35am]

On the contrary, Kira. Vin has been M.I.A. because of his incredibly high demand. Along with BET Networks, Vin Diesel's "One Race Productions" will be cranking out the animated series "Hannibal the Conqueror" for release in 2008. Before that, he will be seen in the movie "Hitman," an action packed thriller in which he plays, you guessed it, a hit man. He is hired by "The Agency" to take out targets upon request, but the money comes under the table. Sneaky sneaky! In any event, look for this in '07.

Scott Weinberg writes: "Aside from that fact-based courtroom flick from a few months back ("Find Me Guilty"), we haven't seen a whole lot of Vin Diesel lately. Now comes word that the gruff-talkin' movie star is about to begin production on "Babylon A.D.," a sci-fi action flick from the director of "Gothika." Read more here.

break dancing clips [15 May 2006|01:40pm]

A friend of mine (antheia-friends only lj) posted these links of an old break dancing video featuring a young Vin! she told me it was ok to link to them.

It's not the complete video, just these 2 clips. (There are also some 'subtitles' over the first clip--I have no control over that, hope it doesn't bother anyone.)
I am not sure who or what is due the credit for the original video.

Also, let me know if this is not allowed here, and I will gladly remove the post.
